Huang Qiang Visited Jamaica and Finland

  From February 4th to 12th , member of the standing committee of CPC Gansu Provincial Committee, executive vice governor of Gansu , Mr Huang Qiang visited Jamaica and Finland leading the provincial government delegation. During the visit, the premier of Jamaica government, Mr Andrew Holness met with the delegation.

  Holness said Jamaica cherishes the opportunity to carry out international production capacity cooperation under the Belt and Road framework with China, especially with Gansu, and will provide support and convenience in policies, taxes and administrative review and approval to a maximum extent. Huang Qiang said the main goal of this visit is to further implement the Belt and Road initiative, promote bilateral international production capacity cooperation under the support and guidance of China National Administration of Development and Reform, discuss the establishment of Gansu Jamaica international production capacity cooperation special economic area and industry park. He said the strong economic complementary between Gansu and Jamaica gives great prospect of cooperation between us; the aluminium factory program JiuGang Group purchased in Jamaica is a mutual-beneficial one that will bring long-term benefit to both sides.

  At the end of the meeting, Huang Qiang signed cooperation framework agreement with Jamaica Economic Development and Employment Ministry, Transport and Mineral Ministry.

  The delegation also visited the underground spent fuel laboratory of Finland Bosua Company, and studied their planning and building of waste disposal warehouse program; they also visited the headquarter of Nokia and talked with its president Mr. Li Situo about the cooperation between Gansu and Nokia in telecommunication technology, artificial intelligence, etc.(translated by Wang Jingfei)
