Sponsored by Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the State Council and organized by Gansu Foreign Affairs Office, the “2016 Fun Park of Chinese Culture----Mauritius Louis Port Camp” was held successfully in Louis Port, capital of Mauritius from December 7 to 16, 2017.
Authorized by the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the State Council, the fun park has been held successfully for 3 times. Based on the past experience, we made abundant preparation in teachers-selection and other early-stage work. We accredited 12 excellent teachers from universities, middle schools, primary schools and kindergartens to introduce traditional Chinese culture, read poetry, perform martial art, Dunhuang dance, Tibetan Dance, folk songs, paper cutting, clay sculpture making and tea art to local people. At the requirement of Mauritius Chinese Teachers’ Association, we also accredited a cook to teach how to make beef noodles and other Chinese pastry.
When the camp began, every teacher focused on their own lectures enthusiastically, adjusting their teaching plans according to the age, literacy level of audience and the traits of education they received, holding abundant colorful educational activities
Abided by the principle of teaching students according to their own aptitude, the Fun Park of Chinese Culture made the local youth feel the essence of Chinese culture, deepened the ethnic Chinese’s understanding of China to make them the advocators of Chinese culture. Thanks to the platform provided by Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the State Council, Gansu Foreign Affairs Office publicized the excellent traditional culture of Gansu, set up a people-to–people bridge for Gansu’s building of Silk Road Economic Belt.
