Leading a delegation of two people, Mr. Takeda, Chairman of Forestry Cultivation Association of Akita Prefecture of Japan visited Gansu to learn about the China-Japan Greening Project from February 14 to 18, 2017.
As an old friend of Chinese people, Mr. Takeda gives much concern to the ecological environment development and forests planting projects of Gansu. Since 2004, he initiated cooperation with Lanzhou city, Dunhuang city and Tianshui city of Gansu in greening, with 810 thousand trees planted, 350 hectares of land greening and 5.4 million fund for the greening undertaking of Gansu raised until now, contributing greatly to the ecological environment development and greening endeavor of Gansu.
On February 14, the delegation visited Gansu Foreign Affairs Office and attended the meeting organized by international exchanges section to discuss the continuity of China-Japan Greening Project. He expressed his hope for the continuity of the project and his sincereity to contribute to the greening endeavor of Gansu.
During the stay in Gansu, the delegation also went to Tianshui city to visit pilot project in Qing’an county (translated by Wang Jingfei)
