The Secours Populaire Francais (SPF) youth delegation consisting of 30 members, accompanied by He Jifeng, director of the Eurasian Affairs Department of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), visited Gansu on August 13 and 14.
　　
After a 9-person delegation’s visit to Tianshui this March, the Department of the European and French Affairs of the SPF decided to donate money to build 100 water cellars and 100 pumps in Zhaona Village, Qingshui County, Tianshui City. The purpose of the delegation’s visit was to attend the completing ceremony of the Sino-French Friendship Water Cellars in Qingshui County of Tianshui City. The project was launched on June 9, and now the water cellars have been finished. During the project construction, the beneficiary households were registered one by one and the project process was recorded via taking photos and making DVDs. The French side said they would report the project implementation in Gansu to the SPF and expressed their willingness of further cooperation with Gansu. This is the first grant project of SPF and CPAFFC in China.
